Argostoli, Kefalonia Greece

Argostoli is a town and municipality on the island of Kefalonia, in the Ionian Islands of Greece. It developed into one of the busiest ports in the country, bringing prosperity and growth. To the east of Argostoli, at the end of the bay and below the Castle of St George, lies the Koutavos Lagoon, a feeding ground for loggerhead turtles (Caretta caretta) and now a protected nature reserve.
